After recording the first 50-home run, 50-stolen base season in MLB history, Shohei Ohtani began his postseason career with a bang on Saturday, smashing his first playoff home run in Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series.
With the Los Angeles Dodgers trailing the San Diego Padres 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning, the two-time MVP homered in his second plate appearance. Ohtani turned on a 2-1 fastball from starting pitcher Dylan Cease with two men on, tying the game at 3-3 in an instant.
