Nicole Kidman takes drastic action with her children Bella and Connor Cruise after mother's death

Nicole Kidman is reportedly making significant efforts to mend her relationship with her two eldest children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, following the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Janelle, in September.

The passing of her beloved mother has served as a catalyst for the Australian actress to prioritize family reconciliation, particularly with the two children she shares with her former husband, Tom Cruise.

Isabella and Connor, adopted during Nicole and Tom’s marriage, became distant after their parents’ divorce in 2001.

While Nicole returned to Australia, the children remained in Los Angeles under their father’s care, becoming deeply involved in the Church of Scientology.

This decision contributed to the strained bond between Nicole and her children, as her rumored status as a “Suppressive Person” within Scientology reportedly created a wedge.

Over the years, Isabella and Connor have risen to influential roles within the Church, and their allegiance to Scientology has kept them at a distance from their mother.

This rift caused immense sadness for Nicole‘s parents, Janelle and Antony, who were once very close to their grandchildren. The death of Nicole‘s mother has reignited her desire to repair her family ties.

A source close to the actress shared with New Idea Magazine, “Losing her mum has made Nicole not want to waste any more time. It hurt Janelle that she and Antony were estranged from Isabella and Connor. They were their first two grandchildren and were once very close.”

The insider added that Janelle‘s inability to see her grandchildren before her passing is now motivating Nicole to reconcile with her children.

“This regret is fueling her need for a proper reconciliation,” the source said. Nicole is reportedly eager to close the emotional distance between herself and her eldest children, while also honoring her mother’s memory.

    Balancing Grief, Family, and Career

Despite the challenges in her personal life, Nicole continues to embrace her role as a mother to her younger daughters, Sunday and Faith, whom she shares with her husband, Keith Urban.

She has also remained committed to her career. Shortly after her mother’s passing, Nicole was honored at the Venice Film Festival with a Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl.

Unable to attend, she delivered an emotional message: “Today I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after, that my beautiful, brave mother has just passed. I am in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her.”

The statement highlighted Nicole’s gratitude and her deep love for her mother: “She shaped me, guided me, and made me. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking, and my heart is broken.”

As Nicole processes her grief, she remains hopeful about repairing her bond with Isabella and Connor.

While their strained relationship may not heal overnight, Nicole’s renewed commitment to family demonstrates her resilience and determination.

Her focus on reconciliation not only honors her mother’s legacy but also reflects her unwavering belief in the importance of family ties.
