Siassi Named United Soccer Coaches All-American – University of North Florida Athletics

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in UNF women’s soccer’s DI era, the Ospreys have a United Soccer Coaches All-American, as Zara Siassi was named to the prestigious team as announced by the national organization Friday, Dec. 6. Siassi was named to the fourth team as one of 48 Division I women’s soccer players nationwide to make any of the four all-american teams.

All honorees will be recognized for the achievement at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony and Reception Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 in Chicago, Ill.

“Zara’s selection to the United Soccer Coaches All-America team is a culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to the sport that she loves,” head coach Eric Faulconer said. “She has been a consummate professional from the day she arrived on campus to the final time she walked off the field at Hodges Stadium. The coaches and her teammates witnessed on a daily basis what it takes to be the very best. It’s been one of the greatest honors of my career to coach Zara and her contributions to our program are immeasurable.”

North Florida is only one of six mid-majors in the entire nation to have an honoree, with all remaining selections. She is one of two Atlantic Sun student-athletes honored, with forward Kiara Pralle of Lipscomb joining Siassi.

Siassi was named all-region pick alongside teammate Paige McSwigan last month, serving as just another one of her many awards earned this season and throughout her career. The durable back was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first-ever Osprey to take home that honor. She picked up all-league academic honors, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District laurels and weekly honors per the conference.

Siassi statistically had her most impressive season, starting all 20 matches for the Ospreys, logging one goal, three assists, five points and a staggering 1,711 minutes played. For her career she finished with 82 games played, all of which she started. She scored twice, assisted on six goals and played 7,079 minutes. Her games played and games started tallies serve as program records.
