It’s time for our year-end review of the best cleats of 2024! From powerhouses Nike and Puma, to women’s soccer experts IDA Sports, and more, here are eight pairs we couldn’t have gotten through the year without.
Nike
Nike Mercurial Vapor
This is a classic and part of a really successful line of Nike classics. They put out a new-old chrome design this year, but the design itself is back and better than ever.
Nike Mercurial Superfly
People really lost it over the Mercurial Superfly, and with good reason. They have that soft extra ankle support that keeps you safe without sacrificing style.
Nike Air Mercurial TN
These are getting a shoutout on this list because they may be the prettiest design to come out this year. Some say it’s a sunset, but those black line details make it unmistakably butterfly to us. Learn to fly with these cleats.
Nike Phantom Luna
The Luna was the top of the list for a lot of people. It’s got the look, the design, and the ability to give your performance just that little extra edge.
Puma
Puma Women’s Future Ultimate
These Puma boots offer an extra level of flexibility, making hard starts and stops easier. They also boast an adaptive fit, so the more you wear them, the better they fit and feel.
IDA Sports
Limited Edition 99ers Pack, IDA Rise Elite
These limited edition IDA cleats were some of the coolest in concept to come out this year. A tribute to the 99ers during a huge year for women’s soccer–especially the USA team–these cleats are subtle and so beautiful.
Under Armour
Under Armour Women’s Magnetico Elite 3
These boots look a little different than the rest of what we’ve seen on this list when it comes to basic design, and that’s what got them here. They feature a pointed and flipped up toe box along with a boxier stud shape and slightly different spacing on the cleats, which all promote stability and speed.
Nike did seem to run away with the show this year but there are plenty of cleats out there that got the job done. We cant’ wait to see what the brands have for us in 2025!
