Shedeur Sanders gets a plea from a fan that could turn the 2025 NFL Draft upside down

Shedeur Sanders is assured of a top-five spot in the 2025 NFL Draft. While this is an honor for any player, it also has its downsides. Fans know this, and one in particular was quick to warn the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback to carefully consider his options.

The son of the legendary Deion Sanders, in combination with the phenomenal Travis Hunter, gave the team its first winning season in seven years and led it to its first college bowl game in the past four seasons.

Sanders has undoubtedly changed the face of the Buffs; however, perhaps not even his enormous talent or singular charisma will be enough to lift one of the worst teams in the NFL today, as one young fan warned him a few days ago.

    Everyone but the Raiders

Just Saturday, at the Colorado men’s basketball game against Bellarmine, Shedeur was mingling with fans when a kid approached him asking to sign a jersey.

As Shedeur autographed the jersey, the kid bluntly said, “Hey, you the best bro. Don’t go to the Raiders. Raiders s*ck.” Smiling, Sanders asked, “Why not the Raiders though,” to which the fan replied, “They s*ck, man.” Amused, Sanders said, “It doesn’t matter. I’m going there now.”

Many analysts believe Sanders will be a top-five pick; others say he has the potential to be a top-two pick. If the season ended right now, the Las Vegas Raiders would have the second overall pick and would be hard-pressed to pass up a generational talent like Shedeur.

Could Sanders handle the Raiders challenge?

While Shedeur Sanders’ talent is unquestionable, so is the fact that, as the young fan said, the Raiders are a mess. After barely missing the playoffs in 2023, this year the team has failed to find its stride and is about to have its worst season in 11 years.

If he makes it to Las Vegas, Sanders could be the cornerstone of a historic rebuild. However, it could also be the team that sinks his professional career before it even begins. With almost five months to go until the 2025 Draft, we are about to find out if Shedeur fans’ worst fear is confirmed.
