Quarterback Matthew Stafford and the rest of Los Angeles Rams are getting ready to host the Minnesota Vikings Monday night for the Wild Card round of the playoffs in what promises to be one of the best games of the first stage of the NFL postseason.
In the interest of public safety, the game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, to State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, the league announced. The decision was made in consultation with public officials, the teams and the NFLPA due to the unprecedented fires that have devastated the greater Los Angeles area.

The Rams want to make sure that the game can be played safely and that the air quality is within the tresholds of the NFL and the NFLPA. The Los Angeles team felt that they made the best decision by moving the playoff game to Glendale, Arizona.
Kelly Stafford has to deal with another problem
Kelly Stafford has been battling a severe case of the flu and she revealed that she “passed out” due to illness in her suite during the Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks game and she believes that two of her daughters are sick too. She was considering moving out of the house to keep Matthew Stafford germ-free and preventi him from catching the bug at a very inconvenient time.
And she did just that. Kelly Stafford posted a series of stories on her Instagram page where it shows how she moved out of the house out of precaution. What she didn’t take into consideration at first was the fact that she needed to move out of the house anyways because of the evacuations residents from the Los Angeles area has been forced to make due to the wildfires.
In the middle of this tragedy, Kelly Stafford found some time to cheer up her spirit listening to Taylor Swifts’ “Should’ve Said No” during her drive. “Taylor Swift can always lift a mood.” posted the influencer. She then went on to post a video of the wildfires in California and said that she’s sad for so many. “Please consider helping in whatever way you can.” she wrote.
The Rams get ready to play in the middle of harsh times
The Los Angeles Rams have said that they are going to do their best to try to win a game, get some help from others around them, “and maybe a divisional playoff game or a conference championship can be a chance for healing for our fans.”
Players and coaches were impacted by Kenneth Fire. Head coach Sean McVay had to evacuate his home, but his wife and son were safe. Offensive lineman and team captain Rob Havenstein’s wife and children were safe, but his father, dogs and cat were still at the family’s house. He was having difficulty reaching his father because there’s no service near their home.
The players jumped on a video conferenc with operations and support staff to make arrangements for family to come with. The team was scheduled to depart for Phoenix tonight. The Rams will have about 450 people in their travel party – Demoff estimated 335 members initially, plus six dogs and two cats, with another 100 people flying out Sunday.
