The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has banned Faith Chepchirchir Kiprotich for three years for the Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Norandrosterone), which is a violation of World Anti-doping Agency.
Kiprotich who is the reigning Lisbon half Marathon champion, was nabbed on September 29, 2024, at the at the CZ Tilburg Ten Miles in Tilburg, Netherlands when she provided a urine Sample In-Competition by the Doping Authority Netherlands (DAN).
Then in October 06, 2024, she again took part in Hyundai Half Marathon in Lisbon, Portugal and was again requested to provide urine Sample In-Competition, the samples were taken to a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in Lisbon, Portugal and it reported an Adverse Analytical Finding in the Second Sample based on the presence of exogeneous Norandrosterone.

AIU reviewed the Adverse Analytical Findings and they notified Kiprotich of the Adverse Analytical on December 23, 2024.
After being notified, Kiprotich denied using Nandrolone or a Nanrolone according to a letter she sent to AIU on January 5, 2025. She was then given the second chance by AIU where she finally admitted in writing and accepted that the prohibited substance were found in her Samples, but that she could not remember how the substance entered her body.
After admitting the Anti-Doping Rule Violations, AIU slapped her with three year ban commencing on December 23, 2024 and disqualification of her results since September 29, 2024, with all resulting Consequences, including the forfeiture of any titles, awards, medals, points, prizes and appearance money.
