Burundi’s Rodrigue Kwizera continued with his superb performance of the season, when he destroyed a top deep elite field at the Cross Internacional das Amendoeiras em Flor, a World Athletic Gold level series on Sunday (02) in Albufeira, Portugal.
The 25 year-old led a 1-2 Burundi podium finish when he took the honors in 27:02 and was followed in second place by his compatriot Thierry Ndikumwenayo fifteen seconds later with Kenya’s Charles Rotich wrapping the podium in 27:18.

The 2022 World 500m bronze medallist, Oscar Chelimo and Kenya’s Gideon Rono finished in fourth and fifth in respective time of 27:44 and 27:53.
