Love is in the air and on the pitch! From much-anticipated hard launches to baby announcements to engagements and weddings, these are the couples of women’s soccer that are HOT in the news right now. Let’s take a look at some of the cutest soccer couples in 2025!
Ali Krieger and Jen Beattie
This is brand new but so highly anticipated after the year Krieger had. After leaving fans a tiny trail of breadcrumbs by announcing she was seeing someone she really liked, we’ve been speculating. And just after Thanksgiving Krieger hard launched her relationship with Jen Beattie, former Scottish national and Bay FC player, on an Instagram story. Now the couple has been together a few months, and we’re SO here for it.
Sophia Smith and Michael Wilson
In a recent series of USWNT players tying the knot, Sophia Smith just said “I do” to college sweetheart Michael Wilson. The two met while at Stanford, while Sophia was playing soccer and Wilson, football. Their small ceremony of 30 people had a beautiful desert background, and Smith could not have looked happier.
Marta and Carrie Lawrence
Brazillian legend Marta popped the question to fellow Pride player Carrie Lawrence in August. The engagement was a picture-perfect picnic that doubled as a photoshoot to capture this perfect moment. The pair added more rings to their collection when they won the NWSL Championship with the Orlando Pride side by side.
Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis
Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis have had plenty of viral moments throughout their 4-year-long relationship, and they just gave us another one with their baby announcement. In a four-panel photobooth-style post, the couple goes from smiling to kissing to a close-up of Mewis’s belly, and finally, the sonogram. The engaged couple is expecting their first child together later this year.
Lindsey Horan and Tyler Heaps
Our USWNT captain, Lindsey Horan, and longtime partner, Tyler Heaps, had a three-day-long wedding celebration. The Colorado native had her celebration in Colorado Springs, and it featured a derby soccer game, a welcome party, and gorgeous mountain views.
Rachel Daly and Sarah Mayling
Recently retired legend Rachel Daly and current Aston Villa defender Sarah Mayling have just gotten engaged. The two have been teammates since 2022 and have been together for nearly as long.
Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder
Eriksson and Harder have been together and very public about their relationship for years. They are one of the finest examples of LGBTQ+ ambassadorship in the sport today, and now they are engaged. The couple announced their engagement last summer with a truly silly snapshot of Eriksson palming Harder’s head with a ring on her finger.
Crystal Dunn and Pierre Soubrier
These two are such a beautiful couple and make such a sweet family. Dunn and Soubrier have been married since 2018 and had their first child together in 2022. Very recently, it was announced that Dunn would be moving to France–Soubrier’s home–to play for PSG. We cannot wait for more Instagram posts about Crystal, Pierre, and Marcel Jean’s new Parisian adventure.
Mallory Swanson and Dansby Swanson
Mallory Swanson and her pro baseball player husband, Dansby, are so in love it’s iconic. Swanson had the comeback of a lifetime last year, completely relaunching herself as a dominant force on the pitch, and her husband was with her every step of the way. The two are always seen supporting each other in their respective sports and posting the cutest couple’s pics.
Alex Morgan and Servando Carrasco
Even though she’s officially retired now, we had to give Alex Morgan and her husbands Servando a shoutout as they are once again parents-to-be. She announced her retirement and second pregnancy last year and only very recently announced that they will be having a boy. Congrats to this beautiful soccer-playing couple!
