Cena has never turned heel in his career, one of the rarest things in all of professional wrestling.
Cena himself has said that only one time in his career has WWE been close to pulling the trigger on turning him heel and it was called off at the last minute.
For fans that have followed him throughout his entire career, seeing the heel turn from Cena was absolutely shocking.
The buildup to WrestleMania 41 with Cena vs. Rhodes will be one of the most intense in the history of the WWE.
It is unknown what role The Rock will play in that, but it is certainly expected that the “Final Boss” will do everything in his power to ensure Cena sets the record and wins his 17th WWE Championship
