In the NFL comparing tight ends is something usual. Every generations has its debate and for the last couple of months its was time for the Rob Gronkowski vs Travis Kelce debate. But Gronk is officially done with the comparison.
There’s plenty of talks between who had the better career. Rob was often regarded as the best blocking tight end in history, while Kelce continues to produce at the highest level at age 35.

After Kelce’s announcement that he’s coming back for the next season. Julian Edelman put Gronk on the spot during there podcast Dudes on Dudes and the future hall of famer completely shut down the debate.
Edelman asked the former Patriot TE about the comparison and Gronk believed there’s no debate. “It’s not a comparison. I mean, you can compare us, but we’re two different players, to tell you the truth. It all depends on what type of scheme you’re in”.

Kelce has 1,004 receptions and has been Patrick Mahomes’ go-to receiver for various seasons now, but Gronk still has 15 more touchdowns than Kelce in the NFL. There’s no doubt that both of them have made a career worth of the Hall of Fame.
