The 2024-25 NBA MVP race is likely going to come down to two players – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Nikola Jokic. Jokic has won three of the last four awards, with SGA finishing second to the Joker in 2023-24. While Gilgeous-Alexander is having an incredible year, Jokic is making himself hard to ignore by averaging a triple-double on the season so far. With the Denver Nuggets taking on a LeBron James-less Lakers squad in the midst of a three-game losing streak and fresh off a shellacking at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, Jokic has a chance for another high-profile MVP-worthy performance.
