New Zealand suffers a massive blow as this player gets ruled out of Pakistan T 20 series

Matt Henry from New Zealand won’t be playing in the rest of the T20 series against Pakistan. He’s still recovering from a shoulder injury he got during the Champions Trophy in 2025 when he tried to catch a ball in the semifinal against South Africa. Even though he bowled two overs after the injury, he won’t be taking part in the final matches against Pakistan, as confirmed by New Zealand Cricket.

In his place, Zak Foulkes will join the squad for the last two games. Will O’Rourke, who was originally set to play in the first three games, will also stay on since Kyle Jamieson will miss those matches.

Currently, New Zealand leads the five-match series 2-1. Pakistan made a strong comeback in the third match by chasing down New Zealand’s total of 205 runs in just 16 overs, setting a record for the fastest 200-plus chase in T20 history. Hasan Nawaz was the standout player, scoring the fastest century for Pakistan in T20 with 105 runs off just 45 balls, breaking Babar Azam’s previous record. Captain Salman Ali Agha also contributed with 51 runs. Earlier, Mark Chapman scored 94 for New Zealand, but it wasn’t enough this time.
