Tom Brady's Raiders lose one of their best players

The Carolina Panthers surprised everyone in the 2025 NFL Draft by focusing their strategy on strengthening their wide receiver corps. And boy, did they need it. They struggled there last season, and it was imperative to shake things up.

With their first pick at No. 8, the Panthers selected Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan and, to top it off, Jimmy Horn Jr. Both players will give the offense a new look and provide options alongside Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen and Jalen Coker. This gives the general manager a lot of options to choose from at a key position on the field.

If we all thought that would be enough to satisfy them, we were wrong. They decided that two wasn’t enough, and the Panthers continue to surprise us, even on a Sunday afternoon.

This must have hurt for the Las Vegas Raiders, who are losing a man who had a very authentic profile with them. His time there was a roller coaster ride, but he won the hearts of the fans who always supported him. However, the relationship was already beginning to wear thin to the point where it had a rather unrecognizable ending.

After shining in 2021, Hunter Renfrow had an abrupt decline with the Raiders, totaling only 330 yards in 2022 and 255 yards in 2023 due to injuries and a reduced role.

This led to his release by Las Vegas in March 2024 with one year remaining on his contract, saving approximately $8.21 million in salary cap space. This came as a huge surprise.

With 2024 inactive, he always had teams interested in his services, such as the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, and Pittsburgh Steelers. His numbers were down, but his skills always backed him up when he was on the field.

Now he will have a new opportunity to shine in Carolina and prove that he belongs in the NFL. It will undoubtedly be one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, so Renfrow will do everything in his power to compete and earn a spot with authority.
