The Socceroos must simply avoid disaster in their final World Cup qualifying game against Saudi Arabia to be guaranteed a spot at the 2026 tournament.
After a thrilling 1-0 win over Japan last week in Perth, the Australian men’s side sits three points and +8 goal difference clear of tonight’s opponents.
Having scored more goals than Saudi Arabia across this qualifying stage and thus owning the next level tiebreaker, the Socceroos must simply avoid a five-goal loss to finish second in the group and directly qualify.
