New Zealand to host Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa in home summer | CricTracker

New Zealand have announced their home summer schedule, featuring 46 days of international cricket across formats, with five different visiting nations. The highlight of the announcement is a three-match Test series against the West Indies in December, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle.

Before facing the Caribbean side across all formats, the Black Caps will also host Australia and England for limited-overs series. In March 2026, New Zealand will take on South Africa in a five-match T20I series, scheduled just ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

The New Zealand women’s team will also have a busy time in 2026, hosting South Africa and Zimbabwe in what will be Zimbabwe’s first tour to the country.

Kyle Jamieson acknowledged the intensity of the upcoming summer and expressed excitement while noting that he expects to be involved across all three formats.

“It feels like a marquee summer. The calibre of opposition means we’ll be constantly tested for the duration of the season and that’s what you want as a cricketer. It’s great to have another three-Test series at home and I’m sure the fans will get in behind the Test team as they have in seasons gone by. It’s always special to play in front of a home crowd and we’re hoping Kiwis will get out in force to support us once again this summer,” Jamieson said.

The right-handed batter Georgia Plimmer expressed her excitement for the year ahead, as New Zealand prepare for a packed summer leading into the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in late 2025. The White Ferns will host Zimbabwe for the first time in a six-match white-ball series, followed by eight matches against South Africa. Some of these fixtures will be double-headers alongside the men’s team.

“We can’t wait for the international season and the chance to play in another ICC Cricket World Cup. We want to play as much cricket as we can, especially in front of our home fans and it’s exciting to have a 14-game home summer to prepare for. It’s great to see more T20I double headers as they are such a great experience for teams and fans alike and it was awesome to see such strong crowds last season,” Plimmer said.
