Today, Huffy launches its new Grow Ride Move (GRM) line of children’s bikes. These bikes are designed to make learning to ride easier for kids and families. The collection includes four sizes with 12″, 16″, 20″, and 24″ wheels. The new bikes are specifically engineered to help children build confidence and skills more quickly.
Each bike incorporates an extended wheelbase, lower standover height, smaller cranks, and wider tires to improve balance and stability during those crucial first rides.
The bikes prioritize safety with dual hand brakes across all sizes. The smaller 12″ and 16″ models include a Triple Braking System. This system combines front and rear hand brakes, color-coded levers, and a coaster brake. The system is designed to help young riders learn proper stopping techniques.
These models also come with training wheels and a parent-assist handle built into the seat area. Additionally, all bikes feature fully enclosed chainguards to prevent clothing or shoelaces from getting caught in the chain.
Move-Up Program
To address the reality that kids quickly outgrow their bikes, Huffy is introducing a Move-Up Program alongside its new bike line. This program offers families 25% off the next size when purchased within one year.
This program allows the original bike to be passed down to siblings or donated while making the transition to a larger bike more affordable. Obviously, these aren’t going to be the sub-15lb wonder-bikes that brands like Biky offer, but at less than half the price, these will surely reach a wider audience.
