This guide includes all the information you need to get started in Terminal 13: Not Human.
Getting started with Terminal 13: Not Human
Overview

Terminal 13: Not Human is all about remaining vigilant as you man a security terminal in the titular terminal. Its gameplay loop involves cleaning the terminal using the mop, waiting for travelers, and questioning them. The main objective is for you to survive the night without allowing any monsters to pass.
Your chief responsibility is to identify friendly NPCs from hostels, which can be done by questioning them. Whenever an NPC arrives, the game provides you with a profile listing their information. Your objective is to cross-check their information and grill them to see if they slip up.
Should they contradict their recorded information, they are an imposter, and you can use the weapon under the counter to dispose of them. In contrast, you can let them pass by interacting with the button on the left if they show no signs of being an imposter.
Occasionally, an explicitly monstrous entity will appear as a boss fight, which you must defeat to survive and prevent them from passing through. These entities can appear at any point during the playthrough, so you must try to stock up on weapons and resources using in-game currency.
Survive the night without being defeated to complete the run and win the game.

Gameplay features

- Identifying imposters: Imposters show various key identifiers, some of which are immediately apparent. You can look out for physical oddities in travelers, like unusual proportions, movement patterns, inhuman appearance, etc., to spot an imposter. Alternatively, you may use the information provided to you on the screen to the right to cross-reference the information a traveler provides. These include looking at their picture and X-ray, along with asking about their job, origin, visit duration, and visit reason. If you find explicit irregularities, consider eliminating them to keep the terminal safe.
- Game Over: There are two main fail states in the experience: allowing too many imposters through and dying at the hands of a monster or entity. These can be avoided fairly easily early on, but it will become increasingly difficult to survive the longer you play. Much of the early game should be spent getting your resources in order by stocking up on important items and weapons.
- Hints: If a traveler shows no obvious signs of being an imposter, you can use a free hint once per shift. A hint is particularly useful in the endgame, allowing you to bypass a difficult imposter check for no additional effort.
- Earning money: Letting travelers pass earns you money. The more travelers you let through, the more money you will earn, and the more gear you can buy with said money. Having a surplus amount of Cash in hand is always useful, especially when preparing for the appearance of an entity.
- Gear: The game gives you access to various gear, which can be used to take down monsters and entities, or for other utility-based actions. You can use the computer on the left to buy these items for in-game Cash, and use these items when you see fit. It’s important to use them judiciously, as you never know when you may need a special weapon or item to save the run.
