John Cena set a precedent last year at Money in the Bank after announcing his retirement and becoming the first WWE Superstar to have a farewell tour. Former star Maven believes that a two-time WWE Champion will be the next talent to get the same treatment.
WWE gave Cena the nickname “The GOAT” because he carried the company for more than a decade. He ushered in multiple eras during his prime, which was vital for the growth of WWE. He deserved to have a farewell tour, with the fans embracing it from start to finish.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring podcast, Maven was asked if he sees another WWE Superstar getting a farewell tour when it’s all said and done. The first-ever Tough Enough winner picked Seth Rollins because of how good he has been inside the ring and influential outside of it.
“Seth Rollins, absolutely. Seth will get exactly what Cena [had]. Seth like low-key is one of the best guys to ever wrestle. And we don’t fully appreciate how great he is because he’s still in his greatness (…) I speak to other wrestlers, and other wrestlers respect Seth. Other wrestlers think Seth is an upper-echelon talent. He’ll get anything he wants,” Maven said.

Seth Rollins has been in the WWE since 2010, while John Cena is in his 25th year with the company as an active in-ring performer.
John Cena to face Gunther in his final match
In the final of The Last Time Is Now Tournament last Friday on SmackDown, Gunther outlasted LA Knight to earn the right to face John Cena in his final match. The Ring General will face The GOAT on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.
Gunther has already delivered a chilling warning to Cena this past Monday on WWE RAW. The 17-time WWE World Champion has been doing interviews and making appearances ahead of his retirement match.
While fans are sad that Cena’s career is over, he’s staying with WWE as an ambassador. He signed a new five-year contract to represent the company in many ways.
