The latest episode of WWE NXT was the New Year’s Evil edition, with some major segments and impressive storyline development. However, a major star was banned from the show when the NXT General Manager, Ava, got involved in a heated backstage altercation.
The star in question is Blake Monroe. Earlier, she was set to lock horns with Thea Hail in a rematch for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. For those who are unaware, Thea dethroned Blake a few weeks ago to win the gold.

Meanwhile, before their rematch, Blake attacked Thea on the entrance ramp and destroyed her. Monroe’s actions led to the failure of this rematch. Soon after this, Ava confronted Blake in a backstage segment where the former champion demanded that the NXT GM hand over the title.
In response, The Rock’s daughter got frustrated and banned the ex-AEW talent from the building by confirming that she will not get her rematch. Monroe was surely unhappy with the Authority figure’s decision.
Nevertheless, the storyline is interesting to watch, and it remains to be seen what’s next for Blake Monroe following the heated altercation.
Blake Monroe could be moving to the main roster soon in WWE
As per a latest report from Fightful Select, Monroe could be on her way to joining the main roster soon. Already, Je’Von Evans officially joined the RAW roster this week when Adam Pearce offered him a contract.
Considering the recent development of Blake in the NXT, it seems that the WWE star is on the horizon to appear in the main roster. The source added that she might end up on the Monday Night RAW roster.
A main roster callup for Blake will be a great addition to the Women’s roster, especially after Monroe has gained a decent popularity among the WWE Universe.
