“I’m sorry,” says WWE star after losing her title

This week’s episode of WWE NXT saw an unexpected title change. The reigning champion’s title defense was initially called off owing to an ambush by her challenger. However, she insisted on holding an open challenge later. But this proved to be a mistake for Thea Hail, as she lost the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

The Chase University wrestler took to X (fka Twitter) to apologize to her fans for her title loss. Notably, this was Hail’s first-ever title run in WWE, which ended after a meager 22 days as Izzi Dame dethroned her to become the new champ.

“I’m sorry. I love you all.”

Thea Hail was taken out by Blake Monroe earlier in the night, right after she made her entrance. The Glamour tried to gain an advantage before the match even started and landed a chair shot on Hail’s back. However, she ended up getting removed from the ringside by a team of referees.

Hail was sent back into the locker room for treatment while Ava found Monroe to inform her that she was banned from the building for the night. After recovering a bit, the Chase U wrestler thought she could still fight, but was proven wrong by Izzi Dame.

Blake Monroe fires shots at Ava after WWE NXT

Blake Monroe was angry for being kicked out of the WWE Performance Center. She entered the building with the promise of a title match, but left empty-handed, while another wrestler took her place and bagged the gold.

Moreover, Ava also posted a tweet on X, asking Monroe to pi** off. This triggered the former AEW star, and she spat back with more venom. She called the General Manager a nepo baby, drunk on power. She also asked Ava not to tempt her to contact her “daddy,” The Rock.

Realizing that she was out of line despite not having started the war of words, the former NXT Women’s North American Champion deleted her tweet. With Hail down and disappointed, and Monroe facing a temporary ban, it would be interesting to see how Izzi Dame’s title run unfolds.
