Big news for American DH racing. Five-time World Cup overall winner, Aaron Gwin, will join the Frameworks Racing / TRP team for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Gwin brings 50 World Cup podium finishes, 20 of which were on the top spot, to the young Frameworks team.
On the Frameworks DH sled, we’re sure Gwin is poised for more.
Gwin will compete in the DH World Cup Series, World Championships, Red Bull Hardline, and Pro Downhill Series. Along with being supported by Frameworks and TRP (Gwin is a longtime TRP athlete), the team is also supported by:

In a social media post (with some great music, by the way) announcing his joining the team, Gwin said:
“I’m excited for this new, and possibly final, chapter of my racing career with Frameworks. I’ve got the support to fully focus on racing again and the equipment to win. That’s what I was looking for, and I’m stoked to be doing it with a great group of friends. I’m looking forward to enjoying all the hard work and seeing what we can accomplish together.”
Gwin will be joining Anna Newkirk, with a couple of World Cup podiums last year, and Asa Vermette, who needs no introduction.
But What About Crestline?
In 2024, Gwin made a similar significant announcement, this time with Crestline Bikes. However, this time, his announcement was even bigger than Gwin racing the World Cup series aboard a Crestline steed.
He was becoming a shareholder in the company.
So, what does this switch to Frameworks mean for his partnership with Crestline? The latest news available indicates that there is no change in the relationship between Crestline and Gwin, other than he will obviously not be racing their bikes anymore.
Needless to say, we are stoked to see Gwin continue to race and Frameworks Racing / TRP pushing American DH. We need more of it on this side of the pond!
