    On January 10, 2026, the 40th Golden Disc Awards were held at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan. The ceremony highlighted leading K-pop acts while drawing notable attention to BTS’ continued influence across the industry. During an interview, both TWS and ENHYPEN’s Jay described the group as a symbol of a “universal language,” referencing their broad cultural reach.

    “I think it’s BTS sunbaenim. Their music already touched the hearts of so many people around the world[..] Thanks to BTS, overseas fans seem to have opened their hearts to the genre of K-pop and within that wave, TWS also able to receive love from many people,” TWS stated.

    Meanwhile, Jay recalled watching international supporters attempt to learn Korean during his training period. He said those efforts came from a wish to understand BTS’ lyrics more deeply.

    “Ever since I was a trainee, I’ve seen many fans studying Korean to understand the songs of our BTS sunbaenim. Because of this I believe the artist that best represents the ‘Universal Language’ is BTS,” the K-pop idol asserted.

    Online reactions strengthened the message, with fans hailing BTS’ “impact.”

    TWS & ENHYPEN’s standout performances at the 40th Golden Disc Awards

    The 40th Golden Disc Awards celebration continued through the night as many artists honored iconic names from K-pop’s past. TWS stepped onto the stage with their version of Spring Day, the well-known track by their senior HYBE group BTS. After that moment, they performed Countdown!, Nice to See You Again in its Korean version, and Overdrive.

    As the evening progressed, ENHYPEN joined the lineup and delivered one of the larger sequences of the event. Their appearance opened with a intro before shifting into Bad Desire (With or Without You). The performance continued with Daydream and ended with Outside.

    Meanwhile, TWS collected the Best Performance title at the Golden Disc Awards. ENHPEN picked up an Album Bonsang along with the Global K-pop Artist Award and the Fans Choice Award. These additions lifted the septet’s overall Golden Disc count to seven. The earlier awards included Rookie Artist of the Year in 2021 and a series of Album Bonsangs from 2022 to 2024.
