The Orlando Pride has announced that Caitlin Carducci will be the new vice president of soccer operations and general manager for the 2024 Shield and Championship winning club. The former Kansas City Current general manager will take over the role held by Haley Carter, who left the Pride to become the president of soccer operations at the Washington Spirit in late 2025.

“I’m eager to begin this next chapter, strengthen the inclusive and ambitious culture that defines this club and help push the Pride toward new heights,” Carducci said in a statement.

That this offseason’s NWSL front office merry-go-round has been as newsworthy as player transfers shows just how much savvy roster-building work has elevated the teams involved. For her part, Carducci was integral to building Kansas City’s league-dominating 2025 roster, including acquiring Lorena and Ally Sentnor and renewing contracts for Temwa Chawinga, Debinha, Lo’eau LaBonta, and Michelle Cooper. Despite the Current’s success in 2025, she was ousted from the club to make room for Ryan Dell to take on the role of general manager.

Carducci has big shoes to fill in Orlando. Carter was key to the club bringing in Barbra Banda, who led the club to winning the double in 2024. In 2025, she acquired Lizbeth Ovalle from Tigres for a record fee. The recent departures of defenders Emily Sams and Carson Pickett and winger Ally Watt leave urgent challenges for Carducci to address, although the signing of defender Hailie Mace from Kansas City will help fill in gaps on the back line. Per ESPN, Carducci hasn’t been involved in any offseason moves for the Pride thus far.

Orlando Pride owner Mark Wilf is confident in Carducci’s ability to continue the Pride’s success. “She emerged as the clear choice in our search with her deep expertise, strong reputation and a vision that aligns with our culture,” he said in a press release.

Before her time at Kansas City, Carducci worked at U.S. Soccer and the NWSL, including in roles that involved supporting international players and coordinating with FIFA.
