“They’re investigating the victims”- Jimmy Kimmel blasts Trump after DOJ reportedly demanded to investigate Renee Good’s wife

Jimmy Kimmel has slammed President Donald Trump in the aftermath of anti-ICE protests stemming from Renee Good’s death. On January 7, an ICE agent shot Good in Minneapolis, which led to widespread demonstrations against the agency. However, the government accused the woman of attempting to run over the officer and contended that the agent shot in self-defense.

Jimmy Kimmel has blasted the federal government in his recent shows for blaming Renee Good for the shooting. In the Tuesday episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late-night host again took a shot at the POTUS. Kimmel accused the Trump administration of icing out local authorities from the investigation into the shooting.

The TV host cited a report from the New York Times and mentioned that six senior prosecutors in Minnesota resigned after they were allegedly pressured by the Justice Department to investigate Renee Good’s wife. According to the media house, federal prosecutors stepped down after they were allegedly instructed to look into Good and her wife’s links to activist groups.

Reacting to the report, Kimmel said:

“They’re investigating the victims instead of the perpetrator.”

On Tuesday, President Trump delivered a speech at the Detroit Economic Club and discussed the ICE operation in Minnesota. The POTUS shared his sharp take on immigrants and Anti-ICE protesters.

“We’re throwing you right in jail. And they know it, too. And one of the reasons they’re doing these fake riots, I mean, they’re just terrible,” President Trump stated.

Jimmy Kimmel referred to Trump’s address as a “banana speech.” He rebuked the president for dubbing protests “fake.”

“First they want us to believe that we did not see what we all saw happen to Renee Good. Now he wants us to believe the protests aren’t real. It’s like the emperor’s new clothes in reverse. He’s telling us we’re the ones who are naked while they do their best to cover everything up,” Kimmel commented.

Jimmy Kimmel criticized President Trump for his recent post on Minnesota

Jimmy Kimmel holds up a t-shirt saying ‘Donald Trump is going to kill you’ while blasting ICE. “To ICE, get the f**k out of Minneapolis.“

Later in the show, Jimmy Kimmel pointed out Trump’s Tuesday Truth Social post about the ICE operation in Minnesota. In his post, Donald Trump said that “patriots of ICE” wanted to remove alleged criminals from the neighborhood and put them “back to the prison.”

He said that Minnesota Democrats welcomed the unrest led by “professional agitators” because it shifted attention from the alleged $19 billion embezzlement.

“FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!” he added.

Jimmy Kimmel lashed out at the president for his remarks and said:

“Does anyone else miss the days when the president didn’t sound like the Undertaker at WrestleMania? I mean, seriously, would somebody get this hypoglycemic 5-year-old a fidget spinner? He needs something to do with his hands. I don’t know. I really don’t know what this old nut is rambling about.”

Later in the show, Kimmel targeted the president for his comments about Greenland. The comedian said that Trump’s second term had somehow turned out “so much worse” than he had expected.

In one of his recent monologues, Kimmel slammed Donald Trump for his actions on Venezuela and referred to him as “Diddy J. Trump.”
