This NWSL season, a handful of goalkeepers will be making their debut in the professional landscape. These players are hungry to make a name for themselves and are coming from all over the country, joining new teams and gaining valuable exposure at the highest level.
Molly Pritchard
Recently graduating from Ohio State, Molly Pritchard has signed with the NC Courage. During her time with the Buckeyes, Pritchard earned accolades including Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors and Academic All-Big Ten recognition. She ranks second in program history for career saves with 306. Pritchard signed a two-year contract with the NC Courage through the 2027 NWSL season.
Teagan Wy
Teagan Wy comes from UC Berkeley and has signed her first professional contract with Gotham FC. Wy previously trained with San Diego Wave FC but has made her official NWSL commitment with Gotham. She has been training at an international level since 2018 and was recently invited by Emma Hayes to practice with the U.S. Women’s National Team senior squad.
Evan O’Steen
Evan O’Steen is a 17-year-old goalkeeper who recently became the youngest goalkeeper to sign in NWSL history and will be joining Seattle Reign FC. O’Steen was part of Florida State University’s NCAA Championship-winning team and now takes her talents to the professional level. She has represented the U.S. Youth National Team throughout her development and won the Golden Glove at the 2024 U-17 World Cup.
Jordan Nytes
Jordan Nytes joins Denver Summit FC from the University of Colorado Boulder, continuing her career in her home state. Nytes was recently a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy and earned Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year honors. She also holds the University of Colorado’s shutout record and has been called up to multiple U.S. Youth National Team training camps, signaling a promising professional future.
Faith Nguyen
Faith Nguyen has signed with Angel City FC. Nguyen graduated from Texas Tech in December and previously played for UCLA, where she won an NCAA Championship during the 2022 season before graduating in 2024. Last summer, Nguyen trained with Angel City and is excited to return to her home base in Southern California for the upcoming NWSL season.
