“Ball daal apna chupchap aur peeche jaa” – Rohit Sharma’s hilarious message to Team India star ahead of T20 World Cup 2026

Team India batting star Rohit Sharma revealed his hilarious advice to teammate Kuldeep Yadav ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, beginning on February 7. With Kuldeep often struggling with correctly calling DRS, the star cricketer stated that the only advice he would give to the left-arm wrist-spinner would be to bowl and return to fielding.

Kuldeep, Rohit and KL Rahul were involved in a hilarious interaction regarding a DRS call during the recently concluded third ODI against South Africa. When Jatin Sapru asked the 38-year-old about what advice he would give to the Kanpur-born spinner, the veteran said in a video shared on X:

“Koi advice nahin hai bhai sahab ko. Ball daal apna chupchap aur peeche jaa. (No advice for him. Just bowl and go back).”

The upcoming edition of the World Cup will be the first without the explosive opening batter. Rohit had featured in all of the previous nine T20 World Cup editions.

Meanwhile, Rohit retired from T20Is at the end of the previous T20 World Cup, hosted by the West Indies and the USA. The right-handed batter mustered 257 runs in the tournament, headlined by a whirlwind 92 against Australia as the Men in Blue edged their opposition by 24 runs.

Although the Indian skipper failed in the final against South Africa in Barbados, he led Team India masterfully as they staged a come-from-behind victory. Chasing 177, the Proteas were in pole position to win the title, but India came back tremendously well in the final five overs to win by seven runs.

The Asian giants clinched their second T20 World Cup title, following their 2007 victory. Led by Suryakumar Yadav, the defending champions will open their 2026 campaign against the USA on February 7 in Mumbai.
