The latest Minecraft snapshot introduces an array of new content and gameplay improvements. However, the highlight of the experimental build is the new baby variants of popular mounts in the game. This continues the developer’s theme of cute changes in the upcoming game drop, with baby variants of chickens, cows, sheep, and other entities in the previous build.
As part of the build, the developers have introduced baby variants of horses and donkeys, adding the foals and the baby mules. The build also adds baby variants of undead mobs, introducing the zombie foals and the skeleton foals. While the regular variants can be found in survival worlds, the undead variants can only be obtained through eggs or commands in the creative mode of Minecraft.
While these mobs spawn naturally, they have a limited rate of spawning as a baby variant. Gamers will have to be on the lookout for these variants during their gameplay in the world. With the first game drop set to arrive soon, players can expect Mojang to introduce more features. However, the developers have not confirmed when the first game drop for 2026 is scheduled for release.
