All LIV Golf exits and promotions explored after Jinichiro Kozuma’s shock release

Jinichiro Kozuma is not part of LIV Golf anymore, as the league parted ways with the 31-year-old golfer. The move came a week after Ironheads GC rebranded to Korean Golf Club and now has an all-Korean star team roster.

However, Jinichiro Kozuma isn’t the only casualty of LIV’s rebranding, hiring and releasing. In this article, we will look at the names who exited the league as well as those who joined it.

    LIV Golf exits in 2025

    1) Jinichiro Kozuma

Kozuma joined LIV in 2023 through the LIV Golf Promotions and then became part of Ironheads GC. The 31-year old had decent year and finished 32nd last year despite not playing the first five events.

However, the Japanese star was shockingly released by LIV Golf as Korean GC did not re-sign him. Kozuma played eight events last year and made three top-ten finishes which included a playoff loss at Dallas.

    2) Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka gave the biggest shocker to LIV after leaving the league last month due to family reasons. However, he joined the PGA Tour just a few weeks later and is set to return at the Farmers Insurance Open next week.

Koepka played four seasons on LIV Golf and claimed five titles. However, he failed to win a title last year and finished 31st in the season standings.

    3) Henrik Stenson

Henrik Stenson was one of the captains of the Majesticks Golf Club but slipped into the drop zone after finishing 49th in the season standings. Stenson played four seasons on the Saudi-backed circuit and also claimed the win at the LIV Golf Bedminster.

    4) Andy Ogletree

Andy Ogletree played two seasons on the LIV Golf circuit for Phil Mickelson’s team but failed to make an impact. Last year, he finished 50th in the season-long standings with no top-ten finish.

    5) Mito Pereira

Mito Pereira finished 51st in the yearly standings, but he not only exited LIV Golf but also decided to quit professional golf altogether.

    6) Yubin Jang

Yubin Jang was part of Ironheads GC but finished 53rd and is now relegated after the club rebranded to Korean GC.

    7) Frederik Kjettrup

Frederik Kjettrup’s journey in LIV also ended in 2025 after he ended the season at 57th in the LIV standings.

    3) Thomas Detry

Thomas Detry had a breakthrough season on the PGA Tour in 2025, where won the WM Phoenix Open and finished 44th in the standings. However, he decided not to continue on the Tour and joined the Saudi-backed circuit for this season.

    4) Anthony Kim, Bjorn Hellgren and Richard T. Lee

Anthony Kim had finished in the drop zone but earned his LIV card back after finishing inside the top three in the Promotions event. Richard T. Lee and Bjorn Hellgren are the other two stars who qualified and will be fresh faces in the league.
