Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Las Vegas Raiders are set to name Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next coach once the Super Bowl concludes. Kubiak, who’s been one of the most sought-after coaches this offseason, also had another option on the table.
“Source: After meeting Saturday with Las Vegas and Arizona, Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak intends to try to work out a deal to become the next head coach of the Raiders,” Schefter wrote on X.

Once hired, Klint Kubiak would become the fifth full-time coach for the Raiders since 2021. However, a deal between the coach and the franchise cannot officially be completed until after the Super Bowl, where the Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots next Sunday.

Kubiak was one of 15 candidates to interview for the Las Vegas head-coaching vacancy. Raiders general manager John Spytek has spearheaded the coaching search, working closely alongside minority owner and seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady.
There have been a lot of reactions to the news of Kubiak taking the Raiders job among NFL fans. While some condemn the timing of the agreement between the parties, with the Super Bowl coming up, others believe he’s making the wrong decision by taking the Raiders job.
Here’s a look at some of the reactions online:
Klint Kubiak reportedly hit it off with Tom Brady during his interviews
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Klint Kubiak clearly left a strong impression on the Raiders’ front office during his interviews with the franchise. He particularly connected well with minority owner Tom Brady, building an immediate rapport that stood out in the process.
“One thing I was told about Klint Kubiak and Las Vegas is that he and minority owner Tom Brady very much hit it off in the initial interview. ‘Both are all ball,’ a source said. He was able to create momentum with his initial interview and that carried into this week,” Fowler wrote on X.
Kubiak will arrive in Las Vegas with 12 years of experience in the NFL across several franchises. In his lone season in Seattle, he orchestrated one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses and helped the Seahawks post the most regular-season wins in franchise history.
Seattle finished the 2025 season ranked third in the NFL in scoring offense at 28.4 points per game. They placed eighth in total yards (351.4 per game), tied for 10th in rushing yards (123.3 per game), eighth in passing yards (228.1 per game) and 13th in offensive efficiency (50.76).
