4 WWE rumors we hope are true and 2 we hope aren’t

Welcome to another edition of WWE rumors we hope are true, and a few we hope that aren’t.

The Road to WrestleMania 42 has officially begun, and it’s already confirmed that Roman Reigns will lock horns with CM Punk in a World Heavyweight Championship match at this year’s extravaganza.

Besides this, the next PLE of the company is Elimination Chamber 2026. In this article, we will look at the ongoing rumors and discuss the four that we hope are true and the two that we hope aren’t:

Why Did WWE Waste This Year’s Royal Rumble? Find Out!

#6. Hope true: Massive Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 42

The current two Undisputed Championship match ideas that are reportedly being considered for WrestleMania this year: • Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes • Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu (via @WONF4W)

With Roman Reigns choosing World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk for WrestleMania 42, this leaves the possibilities open for the Undisputed WWE Title match at The Showcase of The Immortals.

Amid this, a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter disclosed that WWE was planning for a Triple Threat showdown at ‘Mania, where McIntyre would face Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes to defend his title.

We hope that the rumor is true, as the inclusion of The Samoan Werewolf in McIntyre and Rhodes’ rivalry will give us a fresh angle on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

#5. Hope not true: Oba Femi’s dream match might not happen at ‘Mania

Oba Femi showcased a dominating performance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The Nigerian star was also engaged in a heated face-off with Brock Lesnar, which sparked the discussion for a dream match between them.

However, the latest report squashed all the rumors. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, the former WWE NXT Champion might not face The Beast Incarnate at this year’s ‘Mania.

Sources claimed that the match might still unfold, but there was no 100% confirmation regarding the same.

We hope that the rumor is not true. Oba vs Brock could be a perfect WrestleMania match to take place, especially after Lesnar eliminated Femi from this year’s Rumble.

#4. Hope true: WWE legend’s return was not a one-off appearance

At the WWE Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, Brie Bella made her return in the Women’s Rumble match and reunited with her sister, Nikki. The Bella Twins further appeared on RAW after the PLE, where they shared their vision to become the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

In between this, reports stated that Brie’s comeback in the Royal Rumble was not a one-off appearance and that she is expected to be part of WWE storylines for the time being.

We hope that the rumor is true, as the Bella Twins’ inclusion in the women’s tag team division can be a great way to book a massive Wrestlemania feud for Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

#3. Hope true: Reason behind Ava’s exit

A few days back, Ava shockingly announced on social media that she would not renew her WWE contract and was leaving the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Now, as per recent reports, there was no underlying reason behind her exit from the company, and the youngster just chose to move on. The former NXT General Manager could be moving on to different things.

We hope that the rumor is true, as this would mean that Ava’s exit does not involve anything controversial and that it was merely her personal decision.

#2. Hope not true: No confirmation on Brock Lesnar plans for SummerSlam 2026

This year’s SummerSlam Premium Live Event is going to be special for The Beast Incarnate as it will take place in Brock Lesnar’s home state of Minnesota.

As of this writing, sources have claimed that there was no certainty about Lesnar’s plans for The Biggest Party of the Summer. Also, there is no confirmation whether WWE was considering a retirement angle for The Beast at the show.

We hope that the rumor is not true. SummerSlam is considered one of the biggest PLEs after WrestleMania, and the company should have proper plans for Lesnar when the event takes place in his home state.

#1. Hope true: Roman Reigns’ future after WrestleMania 42

Zebro vs Zebro. Bring it on Wrestlemania 42.

Roman Reigns is all set to headline WrestleMania again when he will face CM Punk in a World Heavyweight Title match. Amid this, there were speculations about the OTC’s contract expiration, and rumors hinted that Reigns’ deal might end after this year’s Showcase of The Immortals.

However, recently, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful debunked the rumors and confirmed that Roman Reigns hadn’t confirmed anything about his contract expiration.

We hope that the rumor is true, as the OTC is one of the biggest stars in the company, and should not leave the promotion anytime soon.
