Butterfield & Robinson (B&R) is a travel company that provides luxury adventure trips worldwide. This includes cycling, and some of the places B&R goes look spectacular.

All B&R cycling adventures last at least five nights and take travelers to destinations such as Morocco, Switzerland, Japan, and Sri Lanka. And they have their guests seeing these and other phenomenal cycling destinations on a B&R-branded Ridley E-Grifn.
Ridley’s E-Grifn

The E-Grifn is Ridley’s take on an electronically-assisted all-road bike for high levels of performance on all surfaces. This model is equipped with Mahle’s X20 rear hub motor paired to a 350Wh battery. Those wanting to go a bit further can do so with a 171Wh range extender.
A Mahle controller sits on the toptube.

Ridley designed the E-Grifn to be identical to the rest of their Grifn lineup. The geometry matches, and the visual differences between the bikes are pretty minimal. However, there are definitely some slight differences, such as a larger downtube to house the battery. Certain mounting points have also been removed in favor of internal electronics.

Also, the smallest size for the E-Grifn is XS, whereas the Ridley offers the Grifn in XXS.
Along with the X20 driveunit, B&R’s special Ridley E-Grifn features a full carbon build (frame, fork, bars) and a 2x SRAM Force AXS groupset. They use aluminum Forza wheels with 32mm tires, and Forza also handles the integrated bar/stem and seatpost.
The Ridley E-Grifn is only offered on B&R’s European trips.
Other Cycling Options

For adventures that are geared more toward cruising shorter distances through villas, B&R offers another e-bike. This is a step-through-ish cruiser-style bike that doesn’t appear to be manufactured by Ridley.
Or anyother brand for that matter. As far as we can tell, the manufacturer is a “Custom B&R build,” with an alloy frame and a carbon fork. Regardless, the e-cruiser features a Bosch SX driveunit with a 500Wh battery.
The bike also features an 11-speed Shimano Cues drivetrain, Shimano brakes, FSA cranks, and WTB wheels laced to Shimano hubs.

B&R has designed their e-cruiser in four sizes (S–XL). This bike is available on their Europe, Japan, and Chile trips.
