Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel recently quipped about Brady Tkachuk and his brother Matthew sharing a room in the Team USA Olympic Village at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
During an interview after Team USA’s first practice, Eichel was asked about the brothers rooming together. He said:
“I think they probably push their beds together…if we hear someone go through a wall in the middle of the night, probably know where it came from.”
Interestingly, the Tkachuk brothers are actual roommates in the athletes’ village, embracing the full Olympic experience rather than opting for hotels. Matthew has already dubbed their room “Club Tkachuk,” and they’ve rearranged it for fun.
Brady Tkachuk and Team USA are staying in the Olympic village for the duration of the tournament
Team USA star Brady Tkachuk recently explained why the men’s hockey team is choosing to stay in the Olympic village rather than opting for hotels during the 2026 Milan Olympics.
The Ottawa Senators captain told the media after the team’s full practice that they want the full experience. He confirmed the group had already decided to remain in the village for the entire tournament, embracing the traditional Olympic setup instead of more private off-site accommodations.
“We want the full experience,” Tkachuk told the media (via Sportsnet’s Kyle Bukauskas) after the first practice for the United States as a full team in Italy.
Team USA is in Group C for the preliminary round of the Olympics. Each team plays the other three in their group once in a round-robin format. The top team from each group advances directly to the quarterfinals, along with the next-best second-place team overall.
Team USA’s first matchup is against Latvia in their Group C opener. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, with the puck at Milano Santagiulia dropping at 3:10 p.m. ET.
