AEW star Bryan Danielson worked alongside some of the most talented wrestlers during his time in WWE. Recently, The Bella Twins tried to convince Bryan to talk trash about one of them, which he outright refused.
The aforementioned star, who is a former WWE Champion, is Kofi Kingston. He was recently in attendance for Super Bowl LX to support his beloved team, the New England Patriots. He was given a ticket to the game by his co-worker and top WWE star, Seth Rollins.
In the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie show, The Bella Twins revealed that they had been saying mean things to Kofi Kingston over the weekend, possibly due to supporting The Patriots’ opponents in the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks, who defeated them. Moreover, they even tried Bryan Danielson, who was from Washington, to join them, but he refused and instead sent a pleasant voice note to Kingston.
“We’ve been talking shit to Kofi every weekend on group texts, and then Brie tried to get Bryan to talk shit to Kofi in a voice note, and it was the nicest voice note ever. Bryan Danielson has a history with Kofi Kingston in WWE
In 2019, Bryan Danielson was portraying the gimmick of a heel and dubbed himself the Planet’s Champion in WWE. At the same time, Kofi Kingston had experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, which led him to face Danielson for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.
With the crowd firmly in his support, Kingston defeated The American Dragon to win his first-ever World title in a memorable moment dubbed ‘KofiMania.’ While both superstars are currently with different promotions, their epic feud leading into WrestleMania has earned a place in WWE history.
