Did Kevin Durant Diss Teammate Jabari Smith Jr with ‘Re**rded’ Jab? 2x NBA Champ’s Alleged Burner Account Trashing Rockets Star Explored

Alleged messages from Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant were posted online on Sunday, ahead of the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend. Some claimed that Durant sent offensive messages to his teammates, Jabari Smith Jr. and Alperen Sengun. Based on the messages that were posted, Durant allegedly talked trash to his former Phoenix Suns teammate, Devin Booker, and former coach, Frank Vogel.

In the first message, the two-time NBA champion allegedly dissed Sengun for not being able to shoot and defend.

“That’s a wayyyyyyy bigger issue that my turnovers. Remember, these guys are your future,” the message said.

Durant allegedly had strong and offensive words about Smith.

“I can’t trust Jabari to make a f**king shot or get a stop,” the NBA star allegedly texted.

    “He’s lowkey re**rded.”

Following that, the alleged texts from Durant went after Booker and Vogel. The reported text from the Rockets star compared the two to Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler, calling them dictators.

BrickCenter posted the alleged text messages on X. It’s an account that trolls the NBA, the players and everything happening around the league. The account describes itself as “The Worldwide Leader in Sports Fails.”

In the past, the account has posted several false claims about players and the NBA. The text messages reportedly from Kevin Durant are unconfirmed. Fans should get reports from reliable sources.

Kevin Durant called out the international players ahead of the 2026 NBA All-Star Game

Over the past few seasons, there have been criticisms about the competitive level from stars during the All-Star Game. Ahead of this year’s edition, Kevin Durant was asked on Friday if he and the rest of the USA Stripes would compete and try to win the event.

However, he called out LA Lakers star Luka Doncic and Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

“You should ask the Europeans, the world team, if they are going to compete. I mean, we look at Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic now. Let’s go back and look at what they do in the All-Star game. Is that competition?” Durant said (Timestamp at 1:01).

“So, we haven’t questioned what they’ve been doing, but we’re going to question oldheads and the Americans. But these two dudes out there, Luka and Jokic, they don’t care about the game at all.”

It didn’t take long before Doncic responded to what Kevin Durant said and defended himself. According to the Lakers star, the players’ effort in the event has been the same since he entered the league in 2018. But the six-time All-Star predicted that this year’s contest will be more competitive.
