Maya Hawke, best known for playing Robin Buckley in Netflix’s Stranger Things, has officially tied the knot. The actress married her longtime partner, musician Christian Lee Hutson, in New York City.
The 27-year-old Stranger Things star and the 35-year-old musician exchanged vows in a surprise Valentine’s Day ceremony on Saturday, February 14. The couple celebrated their union with a close group of friends and family.

The wedding took place at the historic St. George’s Episcopal Church on Stuyvesant Square in Manhattan. Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved to The Players, a legendary private members club in Gramercy Park, for an evening of celebration.
Maya Hawke walked down the aisle alongside her father Ethan Hawke. She wore a ruffly, sleeveless white gown with a boat neckline, accessorized with a traditional veil and a feathered coat.
The event also reunited the Stranger Things cast. Those in attendance included Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin. Guests were seen walking together through the New York City streets, celebrating their close friend’s milestone just months after the series finale aired.
Maya Hawke’s husband, Christian Lee Hutson, 35, is a highly respected American singer-songwriter and musician originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He is best known for his work in the indie folk and Americana genres, having released three major studio albums: Beginners (2020), Quitters (2022), and Paradise Pop. 10 (2024).
Beyond his solo work, Hutson is a prolific collaborator; he has worked extensively with artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst, contributing to projects such as boygenius and Better Oblivion Community Center. The couple’s romantic relationship grew out of a deep artistic partnership that has lasted roughly four years.
They first met while recording music and have since collaborated on several of Maya’s musical projects, including her albums Moss and Chaos Angel. Maya has frequently spoken about the strength of their bond, famously advising fans on the Zach Sang Show to “date your friends” because of the mutual understanding and respect that comes from a long-standing friendship.
Their engagement was confirmed in early 2025. While the couple never made a formal public announcement, Hutson confirmed the news during an interview with SoCal Sound Session when he was asked about working with his “fiancée,” to which he simply replied, “Yeah.”
Shortly after, in April 2025, Maya Hawke was photographed in Manhattan wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. The couple later made their first official public appearance together that same month at the Broadway opening of John Proctor Is the Villain to support her co-star Sadie Sink.
