“I don’t even wanna say that f***s name” – Sean Strickland reacts to Bad Bunny performing at the NFL Super Bowl LX

Sean Strickland recently shared his thoughts on Bad Bunny performing at the 2026 NFL Super Bowl halftime show.

Strickland is set to fight Anthony Hernandez in a pivotal middleweight bout at UFC Houston at the Toyota Center this weekend. While Strickland is coming off a unanimous-decision loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312 last February, Hernandez last beat Roman Dolidze via a fourth-round submission last August.

Ahead of his next assignment, the notoriously outspoken fighter sounded off on the National Football League (NFL) for bringing on Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican artist, to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. The ‘King of Latin Rap’ is widely considered among the biggest artists in the world today and is commonly credited with helping bring Spanish-language rap into the mainstream.

During a UFC Houston media day interview, Strickland went on an unfiltered tirade about the NFL and Bad Bunny. Claiming that the sport was being ruined, he said:

“Look at the NFL, dude. I don’t even want to say the f****t’s name because it’s just like, somebody give me his name… You know what I’m talking about, the halftime show guy. The Puerto Rican, right? Puerto Rican?”

    He added:

“Yeah, that f**king f****t. It’s so crazy that this is America now. Like, back in the day, the NFL was the f**king standard of being a f**king man, and now every f**king year, the NFL, I think they all get together around a table and say, ‘You know what, guys? How do we f**king ruin this sport? How do we g*y it up? How do we f*cking ruin it? Well, I’ll tell you what. Why don’t we bring a g*y foreigner who doesn’t speak f**king English and have him perform it?'”

Sean Strickland sent ice-cold warning by Anthony Hernandez ahead of UFC Houston

Anthony Hernandez recently shared his thoughts on Sean Strickland trolling his Mexican roots by posting an edited fight poster for UFC Houston, which showed ‘Tarzan’ dressed as an ICE agent and ‘Fluffy’ dressed in traditional Mexican attire.

In an interview with New York Post Sports (via @RedCorner_MMA on X), Hernandez vowed to “torture” Strickland and said:

“Honestly, I laughed when I saw that. If that’s the best you’ve got to get in my head, it’s gonna be a long f**king night. That sh*t does not faze me. It’s f**ked up, yeah, and I don’t like seeing sh*t like that. I don’t like that my people gotta go through that, but it’s f**king life, and it’s the reality of it, and some people are just dirtbags and like to bring it up… I hope he keeps that same online energy in the cage because I’m going to f**king torture him.”
