Former Indian cricketers Mohit Sharma and Manoj Tiwary reacted to the ongoing war among the Pakistani cricketers after the heavy loss to the defending champions in the T20 World Cup 2026.
Mohit Sharma and Manoj Tiwary react to public war among Pakistan cricketers
Salman Ali Agha and his team suffered a crushing 61-run loss to the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian cricket team in a group stage match, which sparked a big fight between current and former Pakistani players. Everyone is attacking each other on TV and social media.
It all began when Shadab Khan targeted former cricketers after being questioned about his performance. He reminded them that the Pakistan cricket team defeated India by 10 wickets in the 2021 T20 World Cup in Dubai under Babar Azam’s captaincy.

But his remarks did not go well with many former Pakistani cricketers. Basit Ali, Ahmed Shehzad, Shahid Afridi, and even his father-in-law Saqlain Mushtaq hit him back strongly. The debate soon turned ugly. Reacting to the drama, former India pacer Mohit Sharma jumped into the matter.
“Too Busy Talking About India”: Mohit Sharma slams Pakistan
Mocking all of them, Mohit has pointed out that Pakistan players talk too much about India and forget to focus on their own game, and this mindset is hindering Pakistan cricket’s growth.
Notably, the Men in Blue have lost only once in World Cups—the 2021 match in Dubai. Apart from that, India has dominated. The T20 World Cup head-to-head record now stands at 8-1.
Mohit Sharma was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz, “All the Pakistan cricketers are still talking about it. They are just not concerned about themselves. They are fighting about who defeated India and who did not. They are not talking about the World Cup, how we need to play in it, or how we need to improve. They are just hell-bent on talking about India.”
He added, “When you talk, it is not about you winning and beating the other; then you cannot move forward. They are living in the past, and I don’t think they can move ahead in the coming future.”
Manoj Tiwary exposes ‘Trust Issues’ inside Pakistan dressing room
Meanwhile, Manoj Tiwary said that if Pakistan wants to improve, they need strong leadership and clear decisions. He pointed out that confusion inside the Pakistan team is clearly visible.
Tiwary highlighted a moment from Pakistan’s last match. Cameras caught tense moments between Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson and captain Salman Ali Agha. And the former India batter felt that moment exposed trust issues inside the dressing room.
Tiwary said, “If any country wants to move ahead, then the leader should be firm in his or her decision-making. There should be clarity, and freedom should be given. I don’t think the PCB chief has given full freedom. Mike Hesson is trying to take the team along.
In the last game, we saw things get a bit frustrating between Hesson and the captain, Salman Ali Agha. Babar Azam was not sent out. Agha threw the bottle. It just proves that trust isn’t there.”
Notably, Pakistan’s Super 8 match against New Zealand ended without a result because of rain in Colombo. Now all eyes are on their next big clash against England on February 24.
