Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has entered the Top 5 of the Most Runs list in the ongoing mega event after scoring a 22-ball 18 against South Africa. Yadav has amassed 180 runs in the T20 World Cup this year so far.
Fourth-placed Aiden Markram scored only four runs against India in Ahmedabad. Markram has 182 runs to his name now. Sahibzada Farhan, Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis hold the Top 3 positions on the batters’ leaderboard.
Most wickets in T20 World Cup 2026
USA bowler Shadley van Schalkwyk still continues to be the most successful bowler in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Shadley has accounted for 13 wickets in the tournament so far, but South Africa’s Marco Jansen and India’s Varun Chakravarthy are slowly getting closer to him.
Jansen is second on the list with 11 wickets, while Varun is third with 10 wickets to his name. It will be interesting to see which bowler overtakes Shadley van Schalkwyk on the bowlers’ leaderboard.
Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani and Scotland’s Michael Leask complete the Top 5 with nine wickets each. Muzarabani will be in action against West Indies in the next match of the T20 World Cup on February 23 in Mumbai.
