How can the West Indies qualify for the T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Finals?
West Indies will be playing their last Super 8 match against India on March 01, 2026, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and this game will be a virtual knockout for both teams. The team that will win the India vs West Indies game will get a direct ticket for the semi-finals, while the others will get a knockout round of the tournament.
Earlier, the West Indies had a strong advantage because of their massive net run rate of +5.350. But after losing against South Africa, their NRR dropped to +1.791, and this helped India a lot. Now, India only needs to win matches, and they do not need to worry about winning games with big margins.
