Arsenal are now willing to launch a shock £75m offer to sign an impressive attacker ahead of Premier League rivals Liverpool this summer.

Arsenal willing to launch £75m offer to sign attacker

The Gunners have meant business all season and that’s unlikely to come to an end when the summer transfer window arrives. Andrea Berta has already impressed many at the Emirates in his first year at the club and he could be in an even stronger position to spend big if Arsenal win the Premier League.

The former Atletico Madrid man welcomed Martin Zubimendi, who is a contender for signing of the season, Viktor Gyokeres and several others in the summer. It was the ultimate statement from all involved in North London.

Now, the rumours are coming thick and fast over who Arsenal could sign this summer. Off the back of potentially winning the Premier League, the Gunners have already reportedly set their sights on Brighton & Hove Albion’s Jack Hinshelwood and former Manchester City star Julian Alvarez.

The latter would be one of the biggest signings of the summer and would complete Mikel Arteta‘s frontline once and for all. For all the complaints about Arsenal’s goalscoring threat, they would have one of the most exciting attacks with Alavrez, Gyokeres, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners are planning an offer for a defender.

It seems as though attacking targets will, indeed, be the focus for Berta in the summer just one year on from welcoming Eberechi Eze and Gyokeres.

The sporting director is out to make a statement, too. According to TeamTalk, Arsenal are willing to launch a £75m offer to sign Anthony Gordon after Berta stole a march on Liverpool to take pole position.

Gordon could end Martinelli’s Arsenal career

Whilst it’s good news for Arteta that Arsenal are leading the race to sign Gordon, it’s concerning news for Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian is already behind Trossard in the pecking order and will undoubtedly fall behind any further potential reinforcements on the left-hand side in the summer.

It’s also bad news for Liverpool. The Reds are long-term admirers of Gordon and have been in the conversation to secure his signature in recent years. They’ve simply lacked the necessary conviction to sign the boyhood fan, however, and Arsenal have now reportedly stolen ahead in an attempt to match Newcastle’s £95m demand.

Although Gordon has struggled to find the back of the net in the Premier League, only Kylian Mbappe has scored more than his 10 Champions League goals so far this season.

Away from Newcastle’s struggles, Gordon has the potential to become one of the most exciting wingers in Europe. Having already hit 14 goals in all competitions, he remains one to watch ahead of the summer transfer window.
