One of the few teams in the NBA the Indiana Pacers have found success against this season has been the Charlotte Hornets, winning both of the team’s two clashes. But the Hornets got a little bit of revenge while setting history in two ways in their 133-109 win on Thursday night. The win was also the Hornets ninth-straight on the road, making them the first club in NBA history with both a nine-game winning and losing streak on the road in the same season.
But the biggest story of the night was their Rookie of the Year candidate Kon Knueppel.
With his sixth of eight three-pointers in the game, Knueppel passed Keegan Murray (206) for the most threes by a rookie, finishing the game with 209. With 22 games left in the regular season, Knueppel is also already ninth in Hornets history for three-pointers in a season and trails leader Kemba Walker by 51.
