Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli is saddened to learn about the demise of Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchand Singh. On the early morning of February 27, it was learnt that Rinku’s father passed away after battling with liver cancer. He was admitted to a hospital in Greater Noida. Despite high facility medical support, Khanchand Singh passed away.
Virat Kohli took this official social media account on Twitter to react to the heartbreaking moment. “Deeply saddened by the news of Rinku’s father’s demise. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. May you always find strength in his eternal blessings. Om Shanti”, Virat Kohli wrote in hisshot ‘X’ post.

Along with Virat Kohli, multiple star cricket personalities including Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag, Shekhar Dhawan, and Suresh Raina showed their condolences to Rinku Singh and his family. The entire cricket fraternity mourns during the difficult time of the cricketer.
Because of his father’s illness, Rinku rushed from Chennai to Greater Noida to support his family members. After the match against South Africa, Team India reached Chennai for their second match of the Super 8 against Zimbabwe.

However, he returned to the side for the match against Zimbabwe, but didn’t feature in the Playing XI. It was previously reported that the health condition of Rinku’s father was in a critical stage and he was under the life support system. In the early hours of Friday, the demise of Rinku Singh’s father was widely published. As per media reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suggested the cricketer stay with his family for now.

“Rinku, deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father. Your father raised a truly strong and wonderful son through so many sacrifices, and that is his greatest legacy. Stay strong, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your entire family. Om Shanti”, Sehwag wrote.
