India have a multi-format white-ball series scheduled against England in 2026
After the conclusion of the home series against Afghanistan, the Men in Blue will fly to England for a long white-ball series, which includes five T20I games and three ODI games. Last year in 2025, Indian captain Shubman Gill kickstarted his Test captaincy from the tour to England, and this will be an opportunity for the young skipper to win an ODI series after back-to-back defeats to Australia, South Africa and New Zealand in ODIs in 2025.
The tour starts on the 1st of July when India clashes against England in the T20Is, with the first match to be held at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street. The other matches follow on the 4th at Old Trafford, the 7th at Trent Bridge, the 9th at Bristol and the 11th at Southampton.
After the conclusion of the T20I series, three One-dayers will be played on the 14th, 16th and 19th of July at Edgbaston, Sophia Gardens and Lord’s, respectively. As per some reports, India were likely to play against Bangladesh and Australia in 2026 as well; however, no confirmation has been received about those.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to get ample gametime ahead of final World Cup appearance
It is now almost confirmed that India will take Rohit Sharma, the veteran opener and Indian legend Virat Kohli to the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Though Kohli has been in undeniable form and Rohit Sharma is also chipping in from time to time, the gametime would be needed by the two veterans, which the BCCI aims to provide with as many ODI games as possible, since they have announced their retirement from the other two formats.
The two Indian legends would once again be seen in action in the IPL for their respecitve teas
