Paul Heyman kidnapped on RAW by former US Champion following brutal attack on him

Paul Heyman was brutally attacked on Monday Night RAW, with a chair to the back and a stomp to the head. As he was placed in an ambulance while fully busted open, he was kidnapped by a former US Champion.

The start to the RAW after the Elimination Chamber was pandemonium as The Vision was furious over the return of Seth Rollins, who cost Logan Paul the Elimination Chamber match after his stunning performance that led to three eliminations. Austin Theory and Logan Paul were lured out by decoy masked men, leaving Seth Rollins alone in the ring with Paul Heyman, whom he hit with a steel chair and then a stomp. Heyman was busted open and had to be put in an ambulance.

After Austin Theory assured him that everything would be ok, he was taken out by the arriving Jimmy Uso. When Jimmy went to the driver’s part of the ambulance, it was ex-US Champion LA Knight who was in the car, and he kidnapped Paul Heyman.

It was quite an epic moment and tease, which was reminiscent of the iconic segment on SmackDown from several years ago where Teddy Long, the then-SmackDown GM, was kidnapped by The Undertaker. It set a precedent, and although this wasn’t exactly the same, it’s hard not to see the influence.

The only difference is that Heyman was completely out of it, busted open, and unaware of what was happening. Following that entire segment, Logan Paul and Austin Theory would come out and cut a promo, with Theory setting up a match against Jimmy Uso, who seemingly believes that he and Paul were the ones to attack his brother Jey.

As WrestleMania inches closer and is now a month-and-a-half away, it leaves time for a huge build-up, and we’ll see what happens in the fallout of this.
