    SA vs NZ: New Zealand becomes the first team to qualify for final of T20 World Cup 2026

    New Zealand thrashed New Zeland by ten wickets in semi-final of T20 World Cup 2026.

    New Zealand have made it into the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 as they came up with a dominating performance in the semi-final against South Africa. The Black Caps thumped the Proteas by nine wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday. Asked to bat, South Africa managed just 169 for eight, which New Zealand chased inside 13 overs.

    South Africa had a torrid start to their innings as they lost Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton on two consecutive balls in the second over. Captain Aiden Markram (18) and Dewald Brevis (34) brought their side back in the game with their 43-run stand.

    But New Zealand yet again took the command of the game with three quick wickets, leaving South Africa at 77 for five.

    With the team under pressure, Marco Jansen (55*) and Tristan Stubbs (29) steadied the ship and hit some blows in the end. Their 73-run stand powered South Africa to 169 for eight. 

    SA vs NZ: Finn Allen and  Tim Seifert make fun of chase as New Zealand move to final of T20 World Cup 2026

    New Zealand made fun of the chase with Tim Seifert (58) and Finn Allen (100*) coming out all guns blazing. They were all over the South African bowlers, adding 117 runs for the opening stand inside ten overs.

    Allen continued his carnage and hit a brutal century, while Rachin Ravindra supported him well as New Zealand chased the target inside 13 overs and with nine wickets in hand.
