One of Chris Jericho’s next major appearances has just been officially announced on social media earlier today, before AEW Dynamite. He is set to appear at a massive convention in a few months.
The multi-time world champion has not been seen in the ring in roughly 11 months. He has instead been focusing on his non-wrestling endeavors and commitments, including appearances at conventions and tours with his band, Fozzy. As of now, he is still technically under contract with the Tony Khan-led promotion, but his future continues to be shrouded in mystery.
A few hours ago, it was announced that Chris Jericho will be appearing at this year’s Creep I.E. Con. He will be making appearances on July 10 and 11 at the Ontario Convention Center.
See the announcement below.
“🔥 BREAK DOWN THE WALLS! 🔥Creep I.E. just got a whole lot louder! 🤘🏻We’re beyond excited to announce that CHRIS JERICHO @chrisjerichofozzy is appearing at Creep I.E. Aftermath! Chris will be appearing FRIDAY & SATURDAY only. From his appearances in Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3, to dominating the ring as a 9x World Wrestling Champion, Jericho is a true icon of horror and hardcore entertainment.”
Chris Jericho could be given a title match once he returns to AEW
A top champion has recently called out The Nueve for a match and is willing to put his belt on the line against him. This was Ricochet, and he has now thrown down the gauntlet for him.
Taking to X/Twitter a few days ago, the former WWE high-flyer challenged Jericho to an AEW National Championship title match once he finishes all his commitments with his band.
“Hey @IAmJericho. When you’re done with your karaoke tour, I got a #NationalTitle match waiting on you. 👑,” Ricochet wrote on X
Seeing as there have not been any concrete plans for his return, this could be an angle that the promotion could explore. Fans should continue to stay tuned for further updates on Jericho, as he could make a move at any moment.
