When they said age is just but a number, they were not kidding. A 45-year-old and a mother of three Priscah Cherono won the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon on Monday with a time of 2:25:20 missing her personal best by just one second. Cherono dominated the race from start to finish.
Her win is testament to resilience and fortitude with her time not too far from the world average time for women at 2:09:56 by Ruth Jepngetich being the world record currently.
The other podium finishers were: Priscah Cherono (KEN) 2:25:20, Kellyn Taylor (USA) 2:27:36 and Antonina Kwambai (KEN) 2:28:50
