Is John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando split screen?

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a brand-new co-op zombie shooter game developed by Saber Interactive. Since the title puts heavy emphasis on the multiplayer aspect of it and requires a squad of four people to undertake missions, many players may wonder if it also supports split-screen play. Sadly, the answer to that question is: no, Toxic Commando does not support local coop.

That said, if you and your friends own their separate devices, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando can be an amazing multiplayer experience for all.

Before beginning your first-person shooter adventure in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando in coop mode, you and your friends must first meet a prerequisite. That is, all players must first play the game a little and finish the tutorial mission that explains how the game works and unlocks Leon’s Base.

Once all players have access to Leon’s Base, the next part is to add your friends. To do so, simply click on the ‘+ button’ on the top-right corner of the screen beside your profile picture and send an invite to all your friends to join you.

Once your squad of up to four players is ready, do the following:

    • Select the difficulty. Do note that greater difficulty offers more XP and rewards.
    • Choose your mission from the missions tab. You’ll be able to undertake several different types of missions after finishing the second one.
    • Confirm your class and character.
    • Click on the Private Game option to fill any missing spots on your squat with bots. Otherwise, leave it unchecked to let the game add a random player.
    • Press Start to begin your game.

That’s all there is to playing Toxic Commando in coop multiplayer mode with your friends.
