    Aden Holloway arrested: Authorities take Alabama star into custody on felony marijuana charge

    Alabama guard Aden Holloway was reportedly arrested earlier on Monday after authorities allegedly found over a pound of marijuana during a narcotics search at a residence in Tuscaloosa. Per reports, Holloway was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, as well as failure to affix a tax stamp.

    The Alabama junior was taken to Tuscaloosa County jail after agents also recovered drug paraphernalia and cash from the residence. Holloway’s bond was set at $5,000.

    According to Polson Law Firm, Holloway could face up to 10 years in a state penitentiary and up to a $15,000 fine if he is convicted. The Tide guard could also reportedly receive a six-month driver’s license suspension and have to take mandatory drug-awareness classes.

    Holloway began his collegiate career at Auburn in 2023. He transferred to Alabama in 2024 after playing one season with the Tigers.

    Aden Holloway’s Alabama will face Hofstra in First Round of 2026 NCAA Tournament

    Aden Holloway’s No. 4 seed Alabama will face No. 13 seed Hofstra in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament on Friday. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3:15 p.m. ET from the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida.

    Holloway has been one of the Tide’s best players this season, averaging 16.8 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. However, it remains to be seen if he will partake in the NCAA Tournament amid his legal issues.
